I’ve watched more than 5 times? Hate to admit it, but Star Trek ToS. I watched the hell out of that show when I was a kid. At least 5 times through. I still watch it lol. Pluto has it’s own Star Trek channel, and it’s a free app. When I’m surfing, and all of my TV options are things I have no interest in, or have seen already, I tend to drift to Pluto. Star Trek, MST 3K, Tosh.0, Gunsmoke/westerns, a live comedy channel, Dr. Who, if all I could get was Pluto for entertainment, life wouldn’t be all that bad.
Lord of the Rings. I read the trilogy as a kid, amazing story that stands the test of time. What surprised me with the movies was, the accuracy. So many movies lose the gist of the book that spawned them, and leave out important details, or add unnecessary fluff. Not the case with this one. I’m always amazed how well the movies followed the books with this series.
Another childhood show I had to have gone through at least 5 times, Gilligan’s Island. When I got home from school, Gilligan’s Island came on, immediately followed by Star Trek ToS. So I had a TV afternoon escape thing, right after school. Still had plenty of time to go outside and do kid stuff, and get my homework done after supper.
Another childhood show y’all, The Munsters. Yep, I still watch that one too, from time to time.
Alien. The first one. Had to have seen that 5 times. Also Predator. Both good movies. Oh, The Riddick series of movies. Good shit right there.
One of the best movies I have seen in a while, I caught just recently. The Gorge. Saw it a couple weeks back, I’m jonesing to watch that again, I don’t know yet if it will meet the 5 times category, but it might. If you have not seen it, and you like a good story with plenty of action and a wee bit of a love tale, I recommend it highly.
There’s more I’m sure that haven’t come to mind as I write this. Soon as I hit “publish,” I’ll remember. π
In the middle of the Gorge right now. Was enjoying it, but then my appreciation took a hit when Levi finds the conveniently placed film cannister, with a conveniently labelled film, all set to go in a conveniently ready film projector.
Are directors/writers/producers factoring in the stupidity of Trump MAGA viewers who need the plot spelled out in crayon?

Well, no movie is perfect. Soon as they found the bunker in the cliff I knew it was a bio weapon thing, and we have to suspend our innate logic chips from time to time, especially with a movie. π “Pick up the gun you dumbass! Pick up the GUN!”

I tend to wonder if this old movie/program watching is a guy thing? My other-half watches more OLD movies (especially Westerns) than anything else. Me? I prefer the up-do-date. I rarely watch any movie made before 2000.

You know it’s weird. I used to always prefer more modern movies, but lately I myself have trended towards old western stuff. I know it’s always cowboys vs. Indians, or good guys against the bad guys, and our hero always gets the gal, but I’d rather put up with that, than keep up with actual current events…

5 times? not that many… Star Trek TOS has got to be more than that I’m sure. I’ve tried watching Next Generation and it was just, frankly, painful, with huge, gaping plot holes you could drive a battle cruiser through. Deep Space 9 was considerably better.
I’ve probably watched both of the Conan films at least that often. The Jeeves and Wooster series with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry is up there too. Black Books and Father Ted are up there.
Speaking of movies, I just watched Kravan the Hunter tonight. Oh, dear… I can see why it tanked. It has none of the charm, humor, and sarcasm that Marvel movies are generally known for. It wasn’t horrible, it just wasn’t very good.

Yes, definitely! Both Conan movies made the 5 times list with me too. I knew I’d forgot a few.
I watched a good bit of Next Generation, but it was a tad painful at times.
