Quote of the Month

Since breaking from the usual founding father quotes last month, I found a whole new plethora of material to play with. Which is good if I want to keep this thing going 🙂

This quote by Maher pretty much sums up my feelings on religion. How it is possible for the religious to see only the sickly sweet coating that religion has poured on the top, like syrup on your pancakes, you know… all of that love and togetherness and forgiveness shit, and then maintain the ability to ignore everything else it condones/participates in/encourages will always be a mystery to me.

  1. It is religion essentially because they can sweep all trash under the carpet and act like nothing happened.

    • Yes, sweeping it under the rug, or hand waving it away as something insignificant is their M.O. I want to know why the people, the followers, the sheep, are incapable of adding one and one to make two…? What keeps them from saying “But, what about all that other shit?” What drives them to ignore and obey? What is that thing which you and I lack that makes them servants and us those who would question authority?

Whatever “it” is, I am glad we share it Mak 🙂

  2. Mr. hitchens67 thank you very much for the re-blog!
