Well, I attended a No Kings protest today. I didn’t know one would be very close by, and my wife says to me the other day “I’m going to the No Kings protest in Paris (Tn,) are you coming with me?” Well, yes, yes I suppose I am!
Took a friend of mine with us, so we donated 3 individuals to the roster. We milled around, and talked to folks.Us old farts tend to do that. There was a younger crowd there too, I was impressed. One, that there was a younger demographic represented, and two, in the youthful energy they put into being there.
There were a couple of cops on hand, just a a presence, they were not needed. But nice to know they were there. There were pedophile lovers driving by, yelling the T word, but not many. There was far more support in the honking of horns from clear headed individuals with the ability to reason driving by.
An ambulance showed up, I didn’t know till later someone had a seizure! Hope they get that sorted out.
At one point early on I did a quick head count and saw ~120 people. Many came and went. I overheard a couple of the organizers talking, they had the total attendance at ~200. Not bad for an ass backwards redneck, smelly assed armpit of the world, with a lot of red hats and KKK hoods in their closets.
Next time I’ll be making signs. I am certain there will be a next time. Probably quite a few of them.

I was at the march in tiny poo-dunk, redneck Kerrville, TX, at the County Courthouse. I’d say we had about 175–200 people at any given time. And btw, there were some antagonizing hecklers within earshot from several huge, chopper-biker, long-bearded, cowboy-booted, beer-bellied white (trash?) men with a tRump flag and smaller Confederate flags trying to start shit with us.

MAGA-it groups are paid by tRump advocates to infiltrate marches/protests like No Kings to undermine the “peacefulness” and try to turn it violent. This happens in Texas more than you think.

First off, well done! Sounds like your event mirrored mine pretty much. Like I mentioned there were a few drive by shitheads yelling something inane, and a few jackasses with diesel pickups blowing some black smoke. But we had no counter protesters.
Because we were from another county than the one we were in, we joked among the people there that we were “paid outside agitators,” we were even introduced to a few folks as such, with a sly grin.
Anything the R’s claim, in a negative way, about anyone on the other side of the aisle, is exactly what they are actually doing. That’s been pretty obvious for a while now. Standard fare. Pathetic bastards.
