I got myself a Facebook account several years back. After getting spammed with right wing bullshit from my own family, I deleted my account 3 days later. Well, I pissed around and got myself another FB account because I have a few likeminded musician type friends there, and once I was there it didn’t take long for family, and a few local friends to find me.
I love my family. I like my friends. But, you don’t really know them until you get their right wing, bat shit, propaganda bullshit, in your feed.
My brother, I love my my brother. But I have to snooze his account every 30 days. The snooze only lasts 30 days. Every time it’s up, Boom! I get a bunch of right wing, bat shit, propaganda bullshit, from him, in my feed again.
Old diver friend of mine, we worked together on the Cumberland River, digging river washboards one year. We’ve been good friends since, but he posted the other day “Are you any better off with Biden?” My reply, which I can’t remember word for word, and cannot find on FB right now, wasn’t very forgiving of the orange idiot and his long history of crimes in the White House. Maybe we are still friends, I don’t really know yet.
People who live in the right wing, bat shit, bullshit propaganda bubble, are constantly being told “The economy is a disaster,” “Immigrants are poisioning the blood of our country,” or “They are coming for your guns,” and they walk around mumbling to themselves “the economy is a disaster, Immigrants are poisioning the blood of our country, and they are coming for our guns!”
It’s some surreal, you can’t make this shit up, crazy ass shit! I literally feel like I’m walking around on the Walking Dead zombie idiot show.
The perpetrators of the propaganda outlets, pretending to be news, have mastered the Jedi Mind Trick! Constantly bombarding their fan base with bullshit, to mold them into the voting bloc they want and need. At the same time, they pick their dumbass pockets by fundraising on all the lies, half truths, and misinformation they propagate.
On one hand I feel like they are absolutely brilliant! On the other hand, I feel like they are some modernized ancient evil that needs to be fully and completely destroyed. By fire. By nukes. Or maybe with the simple truth, which is harder and harder to find each and every day.

I don’t have a FB account for this very reason. I’ve got nutters on one side of my family who are truly repugnant in their political stances. Two cousins of mine are white supremacists and are proud to share their views with everyone as if everyone wants to hear them. The mind control Trump and the MAGA republicans have over people is truly stunning.

Shell, as you already know, I am smack in the thick of hyper pro-tRumpism and MAGA-t Repubs—tRump stickers and flags on 1-out-of-3 monster diesel trucks with fat knobby tires. You get the picture. You live amongst the same types where you reside.
#1 and #3 are the two BS propaganda cycles that I hear around here almost every single day I am out doing tasks and errands. It is mind-boggling to listen to them (in person within ear shot) rant and perpetuate the lies and disinformation and uncorroborated claims about these two false accusations.
I’ve not only blogged about these two false rants, but I’ve also discussed to some Kerrville residents and our property residents why their political mumbo jumbo is simply wrong. Then I give them the current/recent stats and facts, and then dumb it down for them so that MAYBE they’ll realize their folly. I lay out the corroborated research, tables, facts, and the authors and/or the sources, e.g. Nobel Prize winning Economists Joseph Stiglitz & Paul Krugman. I also reference the acclaimed Heather Cox Richardson’s work.
However, usually by this point in time Shell, their eyes are glassing over and I get the silent dead stare from them. 🙄🤦♂️ It is truly frustrating and exhausting dealing with these dimwits constantly. Fortunately, my Facebook profile feed does not get bombarded by the idiot cookie-cutter far right BS. But then again, I’m not on FB that frequently anyway, which for me is DAMN GOOD! 😉

Thing is, the truth, that is facts, not “alternative facts,” but actual facts are out there. But you will never see or hear them in right wing, bat shit, bullshit, circles. They have a strict agenda to keep their rubes ignorant of those facts.
Unfortunately it takes some digging to find facts. You won’t get them on FB. You won’t find them on Shit Social. You can’t hear them on right wing talk radio. You have to escape the propaganda bubble to find the facts.
The facts show our economy is doing quite well. But the rubes will never know it.
Despite all of the claims of “they are coming for our guns,” it has yet to actually materialize. Yet they keep making the claims. And The NRA sends out notices to the gun fondlers every month, telling them they need “patriots!” “Real manly men.” To donate to their never ending effort of fighting the libtards.

The propaganda outlets will never even mention that the economy is booming. They will just say things like “the economy is a disaster,” and never follow it up with, you know, actual facts. That’s the last thing they want to do, is tell their rubes the economy is great. Or that no one is really after their guns. Or that immigration is actually GOOD for our country. All of that goes against the established “official” talking points that get faxed to each and every propaganda outlet.
I keep thinking I sound like some tin foil hatter, reporting on some crazy conspiracy theory lol. But it’s all right there if anyone with half a brain, and at least one eye and one ear, wants to look for it.
The rubes can’t even find fucking Waldo. Let alone the truth that counters the claims made by their talking head heroes.
