Whether It’s the Weather?

This is just the tornado warnings. There were numerous severe thunderstorm warnings claiming large hail and high winds, as well as numerous flood warnings. My weather alert radio was going off like crazy for three days. That first night I got maybe three hours of sleep. The storms just kept coming, one after the other. Over and over. It was a rough three days.

You see Jackson Tn. there? Now look at the “G” in Dyersburg, then go about halfway to that vertical squiggly line to the right, which is the Tn. River. That halfway point between the “G”, and the river, is pretty much where I live. We had three tornado warned storms come right over our heads.

We fared well enough. But I do not want to see that again for a good while. Fortunately, the vast majority of those tornado warnings were radar indicated, and not necessarily “on the ground tearing shit up,” tornadoes.

I didn’t catch the total rainfall we got here, but from what I gathered on a TVA site, we got nearly 11 inches in a small town just W of us.

High and dry, and apple pie now. We all good.

  2. I’m thankful all is well. I did a lot of throwing positive energy into the universe on behalf of all of you living to the East of me, in central Kansas. I know our turn’s coming; usually sometime between Memorial Weekend and Father’s Day. I’m glad you got through it!

    • That’s about all we really can do isn’t it? Thank you. We needed it. I know Kansas gets its fair share too. So you stay safe over there.

I know now, I have to rent me an excavator or a backhoe, and dig a damn hole. Then I can buy 3/8″ 4’x8′ sheet metal and weld up a shelter, and throw dirt on top of it. I’ve known for a while, but being a master procrastinator it ain’t been done yet.

  3. But hey Shell, Climate Change is still a hoax according to a specific sector of our American population, mostly those controlling the former Confederate States and others outside of the uneducated South, the Confederacy, and the Midwest.

I’m guessing they won’t accept the overwhelming increasing evidence that CC is here and very real until THEY are sucked up in a Category 5-6 tornado, or swept away by a historical flood, or they nearly die of a 7-15 year drought with no water or electricity.

Fat bullfrogs in the boiling pot, right? 🙄

    • By the current standard of logic by the M&M’s (Morons and Magats, and one can be both,) whoever stands to make a few bucks off of X, or is reporting and/or investigating X, is responsible for X!!!! So Big Green is responsible for CC, and Fauci is responsible for covid. See how inescapably logical that is?

So, yes. You are partly correct. They “Might” see the light when the tornado takes them for a ride, but just as likely they won’t get it. Deer in the headlights till the very end. or, fat frogs in the pot 😉
